ABOUT QUEEN CITY MARKET

About

Queen City Market began as a dream in the heart of a small-town girl with big ambition.

In 2015, Mandy Henry turned that dream into reality in the historic town of Selma, Alabama. With nothing more than a deep love for fashion and a belief that small-town roots could lead to something beautiful, she opened the doors to Queen City Market—not just to sell clothes, but to create something meaningful.

Mandy’s journey started long before the storefront. As a little girl, she’d spend hours flipping through magazines, cutting out outfits and styling them just for fun. Fashion, to her, was never just about what you wear. It was a feeling. A statement. A way to tell the world who you are without saying a word.

That same heart and creativity still lives in every piece we handpick. Here, style meets intention. We believe you deserve clothes that make you feel confident and seen—without ever having to choose between quality and price.

At Queen City Market, we champion women, we celebrate small businesses, and we’re proud to be part of a community that believes in showing up for each other. Whether you’re shopping for the everyday or a once-in-a-lifetime moment, we want you to walk away feeling like the best version of yourself.

From our small town to your closet—welcome to Queen City Market.

Queen City Market is located in the old historical Kress building in Selma Alabama, built in 1931. A number of former Kress stores are recognized as architectural landmarks and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
